Discover “How the West was Once” at Canada’s largest living history museum. Explore Heritage Town Square, which is open year-round, and includes Gasoline Alley Museum, and find out how the introduction of the automobile changed our culture. Beginning May 22nd, step further back in time to our lively historical village. Meet friendly pioneers, ride our authentic steam train, enjoy the antique midway and immerse yourself in the old west.

-Visit the newly re-opened Canmore Opera House for a 35 minute musical melodrama!
Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays at 1:30pm and 3:30pm

-Play old fashioned games with the village townsfolk on the lawn of the Prince House or inside the Nightingale Colony House.

-Ride the Streetcar up to the front gates- weekends only in June, daily in July and August. $1 a ride or free with an Annual Pass with Rides.

-Enjoy free, live music in Heritage Town Square, select Wednesday nights throughout the summer during the Hopewell Summer Music Series.
