Brewing Course

Enjoy a fascinating and interactive evening as you discover the basics of the complete craft brewing process taught by Big Rock employee, Alan. During this hands-on, 2 1/2 hour course you will gain knowledge and experience the brewing process: recipe formulation, weighing out malted grains and hops, grain milling, mashing, sparging, boiling and cooling wort, pitching hops, handling brewers yeast, fermentation, and packaging beer. Learn about the specific type of beer that you will be brewing. Enjoy tasting a few 2 ounce commercial samples of the beer that is being produced and a few a light munchies. Best of all, four weeks after the course is finished, you will pick up a 500 ml sample of beer from Heritage Park that you personally brewed at the course.
