Let's celebrate Canada's 155th birthday with great Canadian treats and multicultural performances by GlobalFest.
Be one of the first 1000 guests at the Park and enjoy a free mini butter tart while you take in a performance in the Plaza by the Chinook Country Line Dancers before the parks opens. The park will be opening at 10 am so make sure you arrive early to take advantage of the free treats.
GlobalFest will be hosting several multicultural performances, which will take place throughout the day at the Didsbury Bandstand, the Celebration Tent and the Plaza. Additionally, the Blackfoot Eagle Hill Dance Troop will be hosting two Drum and Dance Performances at the First Nations' Encampment at 1 pm and 3 pm.
The Nifty Fifty’s Ford Club will also have a display on the greenspace along the promenade all day, which will feature some super old Model T’s!
Looking for some fun for the little ones? There will be interactive family games being hosted on the Celebration Lawn from 11 am-3 pm, as well as some Children’s Crafts from 10 am-4 pm at Innovation Crossing.
If you’re interested in a more relaxing day, stop by the Famous 5 Centre for an Afternoon Tea on the Verandah, or swing by the Ranchhouse Porch for an old-fashioned ice cream demonstration that will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Of course, you can always get your fix of favourites, like a ride on the S.S. Moyie paddleboat or our authentic steam train. With a variety of activities happening throughout the day, the entire family is sure to make some long-lasting memories.
