Please note: Gasoline Alley Museum admission does not include access to the Historical Village. Beginning Oct. 10, 2023, the Historical Village is only open for special and ticketed events, like Ghouls’ Night Out or Once Upon A Christmas. The Historical Village reopens on May 18, 2024.

Fee Assistance Program

Making History Accessible to All

The City of Calgary offers low-income Calgary residents an opportunity to access Calgary recreation and attraction facilities at a reduced rate. Heritage Park offers 75% off regular admission to individuals who are registered with the city. *A Recreation’s Fee Assistance card with a valid sticker and picture ID must be presented at the Front Admissions desk for entry.

  • What is included in my admission to Heritage Park?

    Your admission includes:

    • Midway rides
    • Wagon rides
    • Rides on our steam train
    • Rides on the S.S. Moyie
    • Access to Gasoline Alley Museum and more!

    The Midway Games of Attraction and the Hidden Histories Public Tour are the only attractions that carry an additional cost.

  • Is parking included in my day gate admission?

    No, parking is not included in your admission. There is paid parking available at Heritage Park. If you have an Escape Annual Membership, parking is free at Heritage Park! Visit our parking page to learn more.

  • Where is the Historical Village entrance?

    The entrance to the Historical Village is located next to the Gasoline Alley Museum building. Guests can buy admission online or from the admission office located outside of the Village gates.

  • Can you rent wheelchairs, wagons, motorized scooters or strollers from Heritage Park?

    Unfortunately, the Park is not equipped to handle those requests. Heritage Park does have a bus which can transport guests with limited mobility throughout the Historical Village.

     

  • For ticketed events, do you have to pay admission as well?

    Ticketed events generally occur after the Historical Village is closed, or the gate admission fee is included in the cost of the ticket.

    Some exceptions to this include our special event brunches where admission needs to be purchased separately.

  • Are there height restrictions on the Antique Midway rides?

    The Caterpillar, Whip and Big Eli Ferris Wheel

    Children between 33-48 inches tall may ride accompanied by an adult; those over 48 inches tall may ride alone.

    Children must be over 42 inches tall to ride.
