Legacy Giving

Preserve Our Past. Support Our Future. Leave Your Legacy with Heritage Park

Thanks to a $1500 bequest from Chinese immigrant Jimmy Smith, Calgary’s first General Hospital was established in a rented cottage in October 1890. Heritage Park’s Cottage Hospital stands as a testament to those early pioneers, like Jimmy, who cared about the future of their community. You too can have a lasting legacy.

Your contribution supports a timeless legacy

Heritage Park Historical Village first opened its gates on July 1, 1964. Since opening its doors, the Park has grown into one of North America’s largest and most successful living history museums and one of Calgary’s premier tourist attractions. Throughout the year, guests have the opportunity to interact with nearly 100 years of history. It is the Park’s mission to preserve the history of the early West and to educate and entertain guests of all ages for many generations to come. Heritage Park stretches far beyond a collection of artifacts, attractions, and displays. It is a living diary, documenting First Nations peoples, pioneers and entrepreneurs whose spirit forged the history of Alberta and Western Canada.

By supporting Heritage Park, you are helping to keep that spirit alive for our children and their children. It is a place where learning about history will always be fun as well as informative.

Leave a legacy for the future that safeguards our history and keeps Heritage Park vibrant and growing!

There are many ways for you to create a legacy or planned gift for Heritage Park that aligns with your values and hopes for the future.
