Introduction to Wax Rendering Class
October 20, 2016
How does beeswax fresh from a honey bee hive get turned into a candle? It isn’t as easy as you would think!
In this hands-on workshop we will be taking fresh honey and beeswax from a comb and going through the process of purifying and cleaning the wax to make your very own candle with the same tools and materials used for millennia.
Tickets - $40.00+gst per person
Participants can drive directly into the park to the Talisman Heritage Education Centre (Burns Barn), where the class will take place. Tickets are non re-fundable and non-transferable to another course or date.
About the bees at Heritage Park:
Heritage Park is pleased to partner again this year with Apiaries & Bees for Communities to host six honey bee hives through the Bees4Communities Program. These hives are managed by A.B.C. Bees on behalf of their corporate partners.
