Adult Educational Programs

Join us this fall for a series of hands-on culinary workshops! Workshops will take place inside the brand new Innovation Crossing building, inside the Park gates across from Midnapore Station.

Honeybees & Beeswax Craft | December 5th

In this hands-on, socially-distanced workshop, you will gain a new appreciation for the honeybee! You will learn about the intricacies of honeybee life cycles, and the important role they play. We will talk about the many useful products that honeybees create. After learning all about honey bees, we will get busy and craft several different items using beeswax. You will leave with a sample of each and the ability to make these items as special handmade gifts for the upcoming holiday season. The workshop will take place in the Railway Orientation Centre. Participants will park in the main lot. Participants will receive 50% off their admission to Once Upon a Christmas. No refunds will be issued unless the event is cancelled by Heritage Park.

Music & History of the Harp | December 12th

Gianetta Baril has had a long and distinguished solo harp career, consistently receiving glowing praise for her charming presence, dramatic artistry and spectacular technique. She will join us in the distinguished Founders' Lounge for a harp concert of traditional Christmas carols interspersed with pieces from around the world. She will explain the history of the harp and its influence through time. Guests will enjoy a holiday drink and boxed appetizer, included with the ticket price. Seating refunds will not be issued unless the event is cancelled by Heritage Park. Participants will receive a coupon for 50% off admission to the Once Upon a Christmas program. That way you can enjoy the Park during the day, then attend the Harp concert.
