About the 1911 Overland Touring Car

Built during the early Twentieth Century, this Model 49 Overland is a fine example from the “Brass Car Era”. During that time, brass was extensively used in railway, marine and carriage applications. Economical, easily worked, corrosion resistant and eye-catching, brass was the perfect material from which to make specialized automotive components.  The shiny gold metal gave even the plainest cars a look of richness and quality – as long as someone took the time to polish it!
