About the 1914 Grant Roadster, Model M
The introduction of this “miniature motor car” caused a mild sensation among automobile enthusiasts. Selling for a modest $495, fully equipped, the Grant Model M responded to popular demand for a lightweight, cheap, high-grade vehicle. With smart styling and a top speed of fifty miles per hour, the Grant foreshadowed the sports cars of future generations. Despite their reputation for making “thoroughly good low priced cars,” the Grant Motor Car Company succumbed to the 1920’s Recession.
