Calgary Maple Festival des Sucres 2017
CALGARY, January 16th 2017 – for the 15th consecutive year, The Association Canadienne-Française de l’Alberta, régionale de Calgary is proud to present the Calgary Maple Festival des Sucres, March 4 and 5, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Heritage Park Historical Village.
ACFA régionale de Calgary and Heritage Park are proud to announce entering a three-year renewable partnership (2017-2019) with a vision to develop, conceive and program the Calgary Maple Festival des Sucres at Heritage Park.
This year, the event will expand within Heritage Park to be bigger and better than before, providing ample entertainment for visitors of all ages.
The two-day festival will feature French Canadian, Métis and First Nations Folkloric music and dances, demonstrations, workshops, story-telling and exhibits; a traditional Sugar Shack meal; a Sugar Market with a variety of merchants and maple products for sale, plus a lively Francophonie-Calgary Kiosk run by francophone community partners.
Exhibits, activities and demonstrations will take place throughout the park. Guests can enjoy a play, circus and magic shows, plus numerous outdoor activities, games, wagon rides, and not-to-be-missed, maple taffy on snow! Festival goers will also be able to have their photos taken with Maple Festival mascot, Brisebois.
In addition to the Sugar Shack meal, guests can pick up a meal or snack in many of Heritage Park’s restaurants, concessions and stores, including the Selkirk Grille Restaurant and Railway Café.
Presale ticket prices for the festival are $10 for youth (6 to 14) and seniors (65 and over), then $14 for adults and free for children less than 6 years of age. Tickets are on sale now at www.calgarymaplefest.com
