Originally built in 1912 in Standard, Alberta Bakery catered to bachelors and the North West Mounted Police, as most women did their own baking at home.
Today, menfolk and womenfolk alike can purchase freshly made bread, buns, tarts and other fine baked goods.

S.A. Mostad was part of a group of Norwegian immigrants from drought-stricken Devil's Lake, North Dakota, who built his general store in Claresholm, circa 1905. He proudly watched it become the hub of social and economic life in the small prairie town.
Today, a visit to Heritage Park's old-fashioned candy store is a tradition loved by guests of all ages.

In 1886, ex-U.S. army officer Henry “Boston” Drew built a saloon on his property in Spitzee Crossing, now High River. He later added four second-storey bedrooms, turning his establishment into a proper resting place for weary travelers on their way to Calgary or Fort Macleod.
For the present-day visitor, Drew’s Saloon provides a welcome resting area, serving cold drinks and snacks.

Harvey's Confectionery is an old-fashioned ice cream parlour, candy store, and soda shop. Choose your favourite treat, or get a recommendation from our friendly soda jerks. Proudly serving MacKay's ice cream!
Until the 1930s, confectioneries and drugstores with soda jerks serving sundaes and ice cream were popular gathering places for teenagers. During the summer months these establishments could be busy late into the night.
Visit Harvey's Confectionery Tuesday to Sunday, 12 pm to 7pm. Find us in the Heritage Town Square plaza (outside the Park gates - no admission fee required).
Heritage Park’s midway showcases a form of entertainment that was just beginning to evolve at the turn of the century — the amusement park.
The Midway Treatery offers hot dogs, popcorn, candy floss, snow cones and cold drinks to the Park’s thrill-seekers
