Selkirk Grille Field to Fork Series
Dining through History: A Progressive Dinner
Dine your way through Calgary’s culinary history!
Thursday August 31, 2017 - 5:15pm
Learn about Calgary’s culinary history from First Nations to early settlers; from the railway era to the oil boom. This taste of history begins with cocktails at the Famous 5 Centre of Canadian Women, followed by a first course in Ranchers’ Hall in the 1880s Settlement, an entrée in the 1910 Wainwright Hotel Bar Room, and dessert in the elegant 1930s Founder’s Lounge. The dinner includes drink pairings. Transportation between each location is courtesy of a horse-drawn wagon ride.
