Whether you're a seasoned visitor to Heritage Park or you've never had the chance to visit, this spring is the perfect opportunity to step back in time and Escape Today.
The Boat is Back
After spending 2018 dry-docked, we're pleased to announce that the S.S. Moyie paddlewheeler is back for 2019!
Enjoy a 25 minute cruise on the Glenmore Reservoir each day throughout the summer season (May 18 - September 2). Cruises run throughout the day, departing every 35 minutes.
In addition to sailing aboard the S.S. Moyie, at Heritage Park you can:
- Hop on a horsedrawn wagon ride and tour the park
- Ride the rails on an authentic, antique steam train
- Go for a spin on the antique midway
- Stroll along the wooden boardwalk and experience a recreation of a 1910 prairie town
And so much more! All of these activities are included with your park admission.

About Heritage Park
Since opening its doors on July 1, 1964, Heritage Park Historical Village has grown into one of Calgary’s premier tourist attractions and one of North America’s largest and most successful living history museums. Throughout the year, guests have the opportunity to interact with over 100 years of history. Heritage Park’s exhibits span the early 1860s fur trade to the petroleum and automobile-dominated 1950s. It is the Park’s mission to preserve the history of the early West and to educate and entertain guests of all ages for many generations to come.
With more than 200 exhibits and attractions spread over 127 acres of lush parkland, Heritage Park Historical Village has a lot to offer both the history buff and the pleasure seeker. It’s the perfect balance between historical fact, adventure, discovery and fun that makes our take on the tale of Western Canadian settlement so unique.
