Heritage Day

August 1 is Heritage Day!

Heritage Day is an annual holiday in Alberta to recognize and celebrate the varied cultural heritage of the people who have shaped this province. Come spend the day at Heritage Park and celebrate Alberta’s history in the best way possible - by travelling back in time! You’ll get to experience first-hand how much life in Alberta has changed over the past 100 years as you stroll through Canada’s Largest Living History Museum.

Hop on our vintage steam train for a ride or try some tasty treats representative of Alberta's varied culture, such as bannock or maybe a Korean hotdog. We also have some very special activities that are planned for the day. You’ll also be able to explore all of your everyday favourites will, like our old-fashioned midway and the Indigenous encampment. Or maybe explore one of our new exhibits such as Innovation Crossing. No matter what you choose to do at the Park, the day is sure to be an enlightening and exciting experience.

Get ready to step into the past at Heritage Park on August 1, 2022!
