Wednesday evenings, July 6 until August 31, 2016
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Heritage Town Square (front of the Park before the gates)
(Rainy Day Alternate Venue - Gasoline Alley Museum)
Music in the Plaza is back for its fifth summer season, bigger and better than ever! To help celebrate Calgary’s “year of music” we’ve added an additional show to the roster, bringing the total to nine! Rain or shine, we’ll have an evening of outstanding FREE music every Wednesday evening throughout July and August. Once again, the Stampede Talent Search will partner with Heritage Park to provide a weekly opening act. This collaboration will also offer novice young performers a public performance venue. Our featured acts are selected from among Western Canada’s finest up and coming artists.
Performances are free of charge and take place before the Park gate in the Engineered Air Bandstand. If raining, concerts will be held in Gasoline Alley Museum.
Bring a blanket, pack a picnic or dine on the patio of the Selkirk Grille while enjoying two hours of live music. Heritage Park’s Railway Café will be offering a variety of sandwiches, bakery items and drinks (perfect for picnics). The unique shops of the Haskayne Mercantile Block will remain open and the Selkirk Grille’s patio is the perfect place to enjoy a frosty beverage, fine food and fabulous music – reservations required.
Remember to leave your pets at home, and bring your friends and family to enjoy this lovely free evening of music. Rain or Shine.
