Wax Rendering Workshop

Taking beeswax fresh from a honey bee hive and turning it in to a candle isn’t as easy as you would think!

In this hands-on workshop we will be taking fresh honey and beeswax from a comb and going through the process of purifying and cleaning the wax to make your very own candle with the same tools and materials used for millennia.

Participants can drive into the village and will directed to parking area.

 

About the bees at Heritage Park:

Heritage Park is pleased to partner again this year with Apiaries & Bees for Communities to host six honey bee hives through the Bees4Communities Program. These hives are managed by A.B.C. Bees on behalf of their corporate partners. The purpose of the project is to connect local ethical and responsible businesses to support local food production, support small scale and urban beekeeper education and encourage pollinator stewardship.
