We are once again offering our very popular introduction to honeybees. Here’s a great way to get started in backyard beekeeping; a unique opportunity for adults and kids alike. A professional beekeeper will lead this two hour experience. You’ll participate in opening up Heritage Park’s honeybee hives and get to know something of the bees’ seasonal behavior. You’ll even take home a sample of honey, fresh from the hive. These workshops sell out very fast so register today.
Meet at Shepard Train Station.
Present your registration receipt for a 15% discount at the Selkirk Grille. (Offer valid only on the evening of the workshop.)
About the bees at Heritage Park:
Heritage Park is pleased to partner again this year with Apiaries & Bees for Communities to host six honey bee hives through the Bees4Communities Program. These hives are managed by A.B.C. Bees on behalf of their corporate partners. The purpose of the project is to connect local ethical and responsible businesses to support local food production, support small scale and urban beekeeper education and encourage pollinator stewardship. Get to know more with exciting workshops and hands-on opportunities here at Heritage Park!
